About Ergopharm
Twenty years of medicines you can trace
Ergopharm has been making prescription medicines in Vadodara, Gujarat for more than two decades. What began in 2005 as a small analytical and formulation operation is today a full manufacturer of sterile injectables and oral solids for export — but the through-line has never changed: medicines built to a documented standard, in packs you can trace.
From a Vadodara laboratory to an international manufacturer
Ergopharm began in 2005 as an analytical laboratory in Vadodara, Gujarat, focused on getting the fundamentals right — specifications, testing and records. A manufacturing facility followed in 2006, and the first products reached the domestic market in 2007.
Growth came steadily. With a GMP quality system in place and a sterile fill–finish line qualified in-house, exports began across Asia and the Middle East, and by the middle of the decade Ergopharm had entered European export markets. Each new market brought tighter requirements, and the company built its serialisation, documentation and cold-chain capabilities to meet them.
Today Ergopharm supplies licensed distributors in more than forty export markets, with every carton serialised and verifiable. What began as a single laboratory is now an established international manufacturer — but the through-line has never changed: medicines built to a documented standard, in packs you can trace.
The people behind the pack
More than eight hundred people work at the site, across manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, engineering and packaging. A pack that reaches a pharmacy shelf has passed through many hands — the operators who fill and compress under gowned, classified conditions; the analysts who run the release panel; the reviewers who check every batch record; and the Qualified Person who authorises release.
That depth of people is the quality system in practice. Training, line clearance and data integrity are daily habits rather than paperwork exercises, and it is the combination of skilled staff and documented process that lets Ergopharm stand behind every serial number it prints.
The facility today
Two production streams — sterile injectables and oral solids — now feed a single serialised packaging hall, built around classified cleanrooms, a Water-for-Injection loop and qualified equipment. The product register holds twelve monographs across injectables, oral solids and post-cycle therapy, each with its own specification, stability programme and serialised pack.
Ergopharm supplies licensed distributors and importers across export markets with the documentation partners need — Certificates of Analysis, a WHO Certificate of a Pharmaceutical Product, and GDP-compliant logistics. Every product is prescription-only and intended for use under medical supervision.
Milestones
What we stand for
Manufacturing
Injectables are filled in a sterile oily vehicle and oral solids compressed under controlled conditions, each batch released against defined specifications. Good manufacturing practice governs every stage from raw material to sealed carton.
Serialisation
Every carton carries a GS1 DataMatrix, a serial number and a verification code. The result is a pack that can be traced and authenticated anywhere in the supply chain.
Quality & labelling
Composition, dosage, storage and warnings are printed to pharmaceutical standard in clear, consistent language — the same information you find on each monograph of this site.
Export
Pack formats, documentation and labelling are prepared for international distribution. All products are prescription-only and intended for use under medical supervision.
