Post-cycle therapy range added to the register

Ergopharm has added tamoxifen and clomiphene citrate monographs to its product register, extending the oral-solid portfolio into post-cycle therapy. Both products enter the register as prescription-only, serialised film-coated tablets manufactured under the company's pharmaceutical quality system.

The two monographs describe selective oestrogen-receptor modulators presented as film-coated tablets in oral-solid blister formats. As with every entry on the Ergopharm register, each monograph fixes the presentation, pack configuration, batch-record structure and stability commitments before the first commercial batch is offered for release. The register is the single reference against which a Certificate of Analysis, a Batch Manufacturing Record and a Qualified Person release are reconciled, so a new monograph is the point at which a product becomes formally traceable rather than a point of promotion.

A monograph on the register is the point at which a product becomes formally traceable, from batch record to Qualified Person release, rather than a point of promotion.

For distributors, the practical consequence is that both products are handled from the outset within Ergopharm's serialisation framework. Each pack carries a GS1 DataMatrix (ECC200) encoding a GTIN (AI 01), expiry (AI 17), batch or lot (AI 10) and a unique serial (AI 21), with case and pallet aggregation captured as SSCC-based EPCIS events. This is the same coding discipline the company applies across its portfolio, which means the post-cycle therapy range can be received, verified and decommissioned by trading partners using their existing scanning and reconciliation workflows without bespoke handling.

The oral-solid line supports these presentations under the same qualified utilities and validated processes used elsewhere in the plant, with dissolution and uniformity of dosage units assessed against the relevant USP general chapters (<711> dissolution and <905> uniformity of dosage units). Stability is placed on study under ICH Q1A(R2) conditions appropriate to the destination climatic zones, with long-term storage at 25 degrees Celsius and 60 percent relative humidity and accelerated conditions at 40 degrees Celsius and 75 percent relative humidity supporting the assigned shelf life and storage statement in each monograph.

The addition reflects Ergopharm's stated approach of expanding the register in defined, documented steps rather than through broad catalogue launches. Both products are prescription-only and intended for export markets, and their availability in any given territory remains subject to the importing authority's requirements and to the appropriate export documentation, including a WHO Certificate of a Pharmaceutical Product where called for. All figures and conditions referenced here are illustrative of the company's own processes.
